Bright medium purple to violet, tapered, measuring about 5 to 6 incheslong and 3 inches in diameter. Thick fleshed; very sweet, though not quiteas sweet as the red, orange, or yellow bell peppers. This pepper darkensa little when cooked. Used as a decorative element in salads. Can be roasted.
