JAMAICAN HOT


Related to the habanero and Scotch bonnet. Bright red, smaller than the habanero but similar in shape, about 2 inches long and I to 1/2 inches in diameter. Very thin fleshed, with a sweet, hot flavor. The Jamaican hot is particularly suited to dishes containing tropical fruits. Commonly used in salsas, Caribbean fish stews, curries, and chutneys.
