Clementines are tiny Mandarins that are imported from Spain and North
Africa. They are rapidly gaining favor in North America and an increasing
tonnage is imported each year.
Though the Clementine is the smallest Mandarin, what it lacks in size is
made up for with fine flavor and texture. Clementines are usually free from
seeds and easy to peel and segment. Their tiny size, lack of seeds, and
easiness to handle make them especially popular with very junior citizens.
The Clementines arrive in November and wind up in January.
