NORTHERN SPY APPLE

The Northern Spy is one of the finest all-purpose apples. Unfortunately, its production is on the decline. Juicy, tart, and crisp textured, it's well suited for eating fresh and for all cooking uses. Much of the crop is processed into pie fillings and applesauce. Available on a limited basis in the Northeast and Upper Great Lakes region, mid-October through February.
