LONGANS

Very similar to litchis, longans (also known as "dragon's eyes") are native to India and come to U.S. markets from Hawaii and the Dominican Republic. They have a smooth brown shell and a more transparent, less aromatic flesh than a litchis. Like litchis, longans are sold in Asian markets.
