HERB BUTTER


1/2 cup softened butter
1/4 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 teaspoon dried tarragon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chopped chives

Cream butter until very smooth, using medium speed. Add spices and continuemixing until mixture is light and fluffy. Spread on bread, pastry or toastpieces as canape base. Yields 1/2 to 3/4 cup.
