HORSERADISH BUTTER


1/2 cup softened butter
1/4 cup prepared horseradish
optional: add lemon zest
Cream butter or cheese using medium speed until very smooth. Add horseradish and continue mixing until mixture is light and fluffy. Spread on bread, pastry or toast pieces as canape base.

Variations: Add the following ingredients to 1/2 cup softened butter or cream cheese.

Yields 1/2 to 3/4 cup
