SEASONED RICE PILAF


2 cups chicken stock
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 dash garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup rice

Microwave Oven Directions: In a large glass mixing bowl, combine stock, onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, paprika and oil. Cover with plastic wrap and place in microwave oven. Cook on high setting 5 minutes or until boiling. Add rice, re-cover with plastic wrap and cook on high setting 3 minutes. Reduce setting to medium and cook 15 minutes longer, or until rice is tender. Fluff with a fork.

Conventional Directions: In a large frying pan, place rice and olive oil. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until rice is lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover pan and simmer gently 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
