SEASONED RICE PILAF


2 cups chicken stock
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 dash garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash paprika
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup rice

Microwave Oven Directions: In a large glass mixing bowl, combine stock,onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, paprika and oil. Cover with plasticwrap and place in microwave oven. Cook on high setting 5 minutes or untilboiling. Add rice, re-cover with plastic wrap and cook on high setting3 minutes. Reduce setting to medium and cook 15 minutes longer, or untilrice is tender. Fluff with a fork.

Conventional Directions: In a large frying pan, place rice and olive oil. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until rice is lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, coverpan and simmer gently 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
