Italian Wine Cookies
3/4 C oleo
1 1/2 C sugar
1/2 C red port wine
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 C raisins
1 C walnuts, chopped
2 eggs
Cream shortening and add sugar and eggs one at a time, beating after each
addition. Add wine and mix well. Add raisins and nuts. Drop by tsp. on greased
cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Cool or a wire rack.
