Put ingredients in large pot, add tomato paste, tomato sauce and water to just cover the top of ingredients. If too thick can be thinned with additional water while cooking. Add spices and cook over low heat 4 hours. Any of the spices may be omitted except the oregano. If cooking in pressure cooker cook 15 minutes at 15 lbs pressure, then cook uncovered over low heat for about half hour or until dark fat comes to surface. Serve separately with spaghetti cooked 20 minutes, drained, and mixed with large piece of butter to prevent sticking. This makes an excellent meal served with tossed green salad and garlic
