SPINACH FILLING FOR PASTA


2 (10 ounce) cartons frozen chopped spinach
2 eggs, beaten
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom pieces, drained
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Microwave Oven Directions: Place carton of frozen spinach on a paper towelin microwave oven. Cook on high setting for 3 minutes, or until spinachis defrosted but not cooked. Squeeze spinach to drain out excess liquid.Combine with remaining ingredients and use as a filling for Manicotti orLasagna.

Conventional Directions: Allow frozen spinach to thaw at room temperaturefor 1 hour. Squeeze out excess liquid and combine with remaining ingredients.Use as a filling for pasta.
