BROWN GRAVY


4 tablespoons margarine
4 tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken, vegetable or meat stock
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Microwave Oven Directions: Place margarine in a glass mixing bowl and cookin microwave oven until melted (about 30 seconds on high setting). Stirin flour, blending, until smooth. Add remaining ingredients, stirring constantly.Place in microwave oven and cook on high for 4 to 6 minutes (until sauceis bubbly and thickened). Stir once every minute. Taste to correct seasonings.

Conventional Directions: Melt margarine in a small saucepan. Blend in flourand cook until browned, stirring constantly. Gradually add stock and remainingingredients, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens. Reduceheat to allow gravy to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes longer. Taste to correctseasonings. Yields 2 cups
