CARAMEL SAUCE


1/2 pound caramel candy chews
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cream

Microwave Oven Directions: Place caramel chews in a large glass bowl. Cook in microwave oven on high for 3 to 4 minutes, or until melted. Stir in milk and cream. Return to microwave oven and cook on high setting until sauce is bubbly (about 2 to 3 minutes longer).

Conventional Directions: Combine caramel chews, milk, and cream in the top of a double boiler. Cook over boiling water, stirring constantly, until caramels melt and mixture is well blended. Yields 2 1/2 cups.
