ROASTED TOFU


1/2 cup (125 mL) cornmeal
2 cups (500 mL) flour
1/4 cup (60 mL) wheat germ
1 tsp (5 mL) curry
1 tsp (5 mL) dry mustard
pinch of thyme
1 garlic clove, finely sliced
salt
1 lb (450 g) tofu, cut into strips
1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
2 tbsp (30 mL) vegetable oil

· In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients together. Dip tofu strips inmilk and coat with dry ingredients.
· In a skillet, heat oil and fry tofu until golden.
