SAUVIGNON BLANC

(FUME´ BLANC)

A grape at its variety best defined in the central vineyards of the Loire, where it produces characteristically aromatic dry wines. In Bordeaux, the dry wines made from it take on a dusty quality, although this is changing due to earlier picking and improved vinification techniques. The grape also contributes to Sauternes and Barsac blends.
