SAUVIGNON BLANC

(FUME´ BLANC)


A grape at its variety best defined in the central vineyards of the Loire,where it produces characteristically aromatic dry wines. In Bordeaux, thedry wines made from it take on a dusty quality, although this is changingdue to earlier picking and improved vinification techniques. The grape alsocontributes to Sauternes and Barsac blends.
