EPAZOTE
Epazote, also known as wormseed or stinkweed, grows wild throughout the
Americas. It has a strong aroma similar to kerosene and a wild flavor. Fresh
epazote is used in salads and as a flavoring in Mexican and Southwestern
cuisines. It is often cooked with beans to reduce the gaseousness. Dried
epazote is brewed to make a beverage.
