The appellation " Condrieu " covers the vineyards of the villages
of Verin St-Michel and Condrieu eight miles from Vienne, and on the same
right bank of the Rhone. The appellation Condrieu includes only those wines
grown from the Viognier vine. As most other white wines, Condrieu may be
drunk when young, but with age it can often also charm the connoisseur's
palate.
