CROZES-HERMITAGE

The villages of Crozes, Tain, Chonos-Curson, Beaumont-Ventoux, Erome, Larnage. Gervans, la Roche-de-Glun, Serves, Pont-de-l'lsere, together form the area of Crozes-Hermitage. Syrah is the only vine used for the red wines, Marsanne and Roussanne for the whites. A balanced, solid wine, that keeps well, red Crozes-Hermitage can happily benefit from several years in the cellar. The white wine is better suited to the freshness of youth and it should be drunk in its early years.

Appellation surrounds the slopes of Hermitage

The wine has less grip than Hermitage due to the absence of granite soil structure.
