The villages of Crozes, Tain, Chonos-Curson, Beaumont-Ventoux, Erome,Larnage. Gervans, la Roche-de-Glun, Serves, Pont-de-l'lsere, together formthe area of Crozes-Hermitage. Syrah is the only vine used for the red wines,Marsanne and Roussanne for the whites. A balanced, solid wine, that keepswell, red Crozes-Hermitage can happily benefit from several years in thecellar. The white wine is better suited to the freshness of youth and itshould be drunk in its early years.
Appellation surrounds the slopes of Hermitage
The wine has less grip than Hermitage due to the absence of granite soilstructure.
