Small region of 3100 acres in the Vaucluse department from hilly vineyards.

Minimum alcohol is 12.5%: Maximum yield is 42 ML/HA (amounts to 192 cases per acre)

Same gropes permitted as for Cotes du Rhone

Red wines dominate the region and possess extra concentration, spiciness, and aging capability.
